Sad yet amazing story. "Skin and tragedy always attract a crowd". I think that's why so many people like this story.
I just read those very lines last night as I began my Salinger-a-thon. I plan to read it all, until all his words have filled my head.
Love the quote. Salinger made his contribution to the written word... wish I could.
